Archive’s Most Wanted

There are some books that appear so infrequently that I still haven’t managed to get a copy preserved in the library, yet. They are out there, probably sitting in someone’s collection in a closet or basement in a comic long box, in an attic, or dying in a garage or barn. They need to see the light again, and they most certainly need to be digitized and remastered. Below is a list of the books I have been watching for for years. The sad thing is, I know I’ve seen most of them appear on ebay a long time ago, but I didn’t have enough of a budget to be able to get them when I saw them, and I definitely didn’t know they would take so long to pop up again. If you have any of them, PLEASE let us know!!

I also recall a book, and this was before I decided to create a full reference library with cover images of everything I stumbled across, that was for the 1991 Hanna-Barbera series “Young Robin Hood”. My memory is very fuzzy on this one, but I think it was similar to the Bozo, Underdog, and Popeye books put out by United American Video Corp., also from 1991. I saw it once. I didn’t save the image because I wasn’t gung-ho at the time, and it bugs me to this day. I would love to find it and prove I’m not crazy!

There are other books on my list, but those are mostly to replace overly colored or missing pages from books I already have. Especially some 1960s Hanna-Barbera Whitman books. They are displayed below. All it would take is a good soul with any of these books to help replace some bad scans. And again, PLEASE let us know if you have any of these and can help. They need to be saved for the future. Paper won’t last, but scans (backed up on several external hard drives to prevent loss) will.
